Lachrymose and funereal wasteland
Of weathered peaks and abandoned trails
Where the whispers of sorrow
Permeate every somber vale
An ethereal vestment
Rests adorned on the lifeless air
'Neath the sprawl ancient summits ascend
As effigies mute in eternal prayer

Obscure as the years that have fallen in silence
Lost paths that erstwhile had led t'ward the old Gods
Now host to the footfalls of ruin

Frozen wounds carve a landscape of scars
Born of Winter, 'cross horizons torn
In the twilight stirs a creeping dark
For the shadows are beholden to the dawn

The eons are stillborn
As time cannot rule the dead
A shroud of inertia
Obscures the abyss t'ward which we're led

Beyond empyreal veil we have fallen
Before the fields of despair we have come

Night eternal
Invokes a yearning forlorn
Desires that wander
And gather in the moonlight
Their wounded hearts succumb
In darkness led astray

Vast forms of colossal remains
And towering pillars of bone
In death, but a shrine to the end
A cenotaph set in the ancient stone
We pass through the hollows of death
Pervading the earth they decay
Drawn down by the call of the grave
And the withering vestige of light fading away

The weeping hollows pray
In silent hymn
T'ward shadows we will fall
Their frozen tongues, our hearts enthrall
Abandoned Gods
Wander the sky
Their ruined will divine
Cursed by our vengeful hearts malign

As our effigies fall
The wounded will break in the fray
The accursed, ever chasing the lies
Our fervent longings betray
Writhing in torment
The pain ever keeping our demons at bay

The throe of arcane verse
Whispered through the void
Predestine and forespoken
The darkness lingers in the air
And calls to thee unbroken
As shadows cast before the pyre
Our flames portend our fall
From spark to all-consuming blaze
The endless reach of night comes for us all
